It's funny how when you meet someone, you never really know how important they'd become as time goes by. Then, when you finally realise this, everything fades and everything changes Nothing stays the same for too long, and everything good ends abruptly. All good things (and people) have early expiry dates. People die and people disappear. People move on, leaving old friends behind, exchanging them for new ones and the cycle goes on. Some friends, I'd keep for a lifetime. Others, not so much. Almost lovers? Yeah, the ones that end abruptly, the ones where people leave with no cause or reason. The ones that hurt the most. So they say, if you love someone, let them go, but you see, you can never really let them go, you'll always hold pieces of them deep within your little heart. The hurting never really ends, and the pain never really stops, it turns into ache, a deep gut wrenching ache. An epic kind of missing.

The signs were all there, for each of us. You were trying to warn us, you gave us clues. Clues we inadvertently missed.
